For me sex and violence are very wrapped up together. Thus, my answer is, almost inherently related to sex.

I was tempted to give you my off the cuff answer, which is fighting. I like the feeling of hitting people/things (although I don't particularly care for the aftermath so much). But I realized that's not an entirely true answer, because I don't so much like to be beat up in that context.

So I would have to say it's probably the violence of being "taken down" in a sexual context. The best example I can give is that I took a workshop on how to fight, safely, in a sexual context, that ended with some wrestling. Really, what I miss, is that [info]random_vamp and I used to grapple and bite/hit at each other with a relative impunity that stopped when I got squeamish about being willing to hurt him. (Long story, I got uncomfortable with just how okay with being in pain/causing pain I was, and decided to step back from that for a while.)

So this whole thing was a long winded way of saying wrestling/punching/biting, with an eye on having sex afterwards.

That's hard. I think my answer is "princess", but it requires explanation.

A lot of people I know use the word princess in a condescending way (or as an insult). Like "She's such a princess that she can't camp without an RV at Burning Man." It's got a sort of soft, childish meanness to it. But in my head, Princesses are feminine and powerful. Strong, educated, political, responsible, etc. All the traits that I would want in royalty. So I'd rather see it reflected that way, than in the other way.

(And this has reminded me of a song I love, called "Pussy Manifesto", which has a line about how it took ovaries to do something (instead of balls). I'm always amused by that song.)

All of the above. (Okay, this will make no sense unless I leave the question visible, or paraphrase. The paraphrase is, "You said you'd done a lot in your life sexually, before the age of 18. Why did you choose to do those things?")

A lot of why I chose to have sex, and to engage in 'kink', can be traced back to my childhood. (How very freudian of me...) When other little girls played barbies, or house, I wanted to be the princess locked up in the evil wizard's dungeon. My first sexualized experience was along those lines. Yes, I was *very* young.

When I became a teenager, I had a lot of fantasies, some of them in a mode of trying to reclaim the power I had lost as a kid when I was (repeatedly) raped by the next door neighbor. Trying out sex, and as a submissive, became an exploration of how much power I actually held in the act. And being totally powerful to stop it if/when I wanted/needed to. This ended up restoring a good deal of my faith in myself and the world, and made me a lot more okay with sex stuff in general.

And it felt good, so I wanted to keep doing it.

I have a couple of regrets in that arena. I wouldn't have "lost my virginity" to the person I did, if I'd known how it was going to end up being. The story is a funny one, I'll tell it to you (whoever you are anonymous) if you ask me. (Or really, to anyone reading it if they ask me.) But it requires a couple of drinks before I can tell it well.
